2.16 Might contain traces of adorableness. Just saying.

We start today with snow inside the kitchen and a graceful heir. Because I can.
Huuuuuh, what? Oh, look, a snowflake. Maybe I can catch it with my tongue. Oh, wait, there was something I was supposed to do first.

Crap, that’s right – pillow fight time. Jeez, that hurt! I see my chances of winning this competition fading – just like my opponent. Oh, wait, that would mean I win.
Sorry, but no – that just means my graphic card had a bad day.

Meanwhile: adorableness.

 Later: more adorableness.

And after that: confusion. What are you doing there?
She stepped on my foot.
Ahem. I stepped on his foot. I’m so glad I don’t wear heels.
Yeah, me too. This is not my day – first my head gets smacked with a pillow, and now my foot is flattened.

The next day: adorableness! What a shock! Alfie, how’s your foot doing?
Oh, don’t ask. It hurts so much I can’t think straight. This pain is unbearable! Somebody help me!
You’re a crybaby. She didn’t wear heels, in addition she weighs like two pounds.

Let’s move on to some adorable kids instead.

Oh, and a pregnant mother, reading to her adorable child. I forgot she was pregnant again.

Well, I most certainly didn’t forget about it – Alfieeeee! I’m in labor! Help meeeeee!
*from the bedroom* sorry, but I can’t – my foot, it hurts too badly! I can’t move!
Oh, for crying out loud. So no hospital this time.

Wait, what?! Are you kidding me? Give me painkillers! Now! Or I will…
Or you will what?
Never do what you tell me!
I’m not telling you to do anything, anyway. You’re an idiot, remember?
EXCUSE ME?
Oops, never annoy a pregnant woman. What I meant is that you’re independent. Didn’t I say that?
Dunno, sounded like “idiot”. Even my hearing is impaired by this enormous pain :(
If you weren’t married to Alfie, I’d suggest that the two of you are related by blood. Both crybabies.
WHAT?!
Uh…both…uh… I said… you’re both having babies now?

Damn right, we are! Ooooh, this tingles! Here we go, it’s a…

Girl! I want her name to be Tara. Just look into her eyes, she is so…wait a minute. She’s asleep!
Huh, apparently she’s a heavy sleeper then. I’ll look at her eyes when she’s a toddler.

All the excitement was too much for Xander; the poor guy didn’t get much sleep that day, or the day after. If no one reads a bedtime story to him, he won’t go to sleep. And I can’t tell him to. *sigh*

Where have I seen that before? Willow, a few days ago, your dad used that same telescope to spy on the neighbors. Don’t do that.
Spying on them? How would I even…oh, look, they’re watching FRIENDS!
WILLOW!

Before I could worry about Alfie’s children for too long, a birthday approached. Birthdays are always fun, unless the cake blows up. And that doesn’t happen very often in this legacy. I hope.

Tadaaa, there she is. Little Tara, in all her glory and, of course, adorableness! Sorry I can’t tell you much about her eyes now, she’s too busy making a mess to open them for a moment. This one’s going to be a real slob, I’m telling you.

I think (!) this is to show you that I remodeled the house.

And this is to show you that Xander finally went back to sleep.

Guess what this is for. A) adorableness B) adorableness C) adorableness D) the giraffe in the background.

After Xander’s struggle with going to bed independently, Willow decided it would be fun not to sleep for a few days, just to see how I would react.

It’s safe to say I was not amused. -5.

I’ll just pretend I haven’t seen this.

Instead we’ll move on to something happier – Dawn’s birthday! Only one more toddler to go after this day, whoo!

*tickle tickle*

I don’t want to say it for the hundredth time, but: LOOK HOW ADORABLE!!!

Also, it was Willow’s birthday that night. She was the first one of the siblings to grow into a teenager, hopefully not a moody one.
I want to be strong, and pretty. And a witch maybe. A rat would be nice for a pet.
Who gave you the Buffy-DVDs? Those are not suitable for your age!
I didn’t watch them, the neighbors did. I just…observed.
You what?! Okay, let’s discuss this tomorrow. Today is your special day. The first teenager, I can’t wait!

“Adorable” clearly is the wrong word here. She’s AWESOME!

Nah, I wouldn’t put it like that. Nothing special, just my everyday outfit.
Nice try. There’s no way you can start misbehaving now, missy, because I will keep an eye on you. It’s almost time to pick an heir.
What? Heir? Like, have babies and stuff? Ewwwww, all the boys in my class are real babies. Children, at the most. Boys are stupid, anyway.
Just like the original Willow. Again. ;)

And with this birthday we’ll leave you. You may want to start thinking about possible heirs, I sure have!

Author's notes: Aaaaaand I'm caught up here, too! Go me!
My internship is finally over; during the last week there I got no sleep, because all I did was prepare my lessons. My mentor, who I had a great time with in the beginning (including a girls' night out drinking cocktails), suddenly decided nothing was good enough for her, so I pretty much worked non-stop to meet her expectations. Which I didn't. Anyway. Had a complete breakdown after the last day, and cried all the way home after work (in my car, thankfully), but have been fine ever since :) The situation there had just really gotten to me, and now I'm sooo ready for new challenges! Two of my papers for university are done already, I'm working on the other two now. After that, it's time for my master thesis! :) In the meantime, there will be a lot of Sims. I hope.
(By the way: there won't be any posts in May, because I'm going to AUSTRALIA <3! Just had to mention this, because I'm so excited already. My best friend is studying there for a semester, and I will visit her. Can't wait and will book the ticket on Monday!)

  1. Oh my gosh! I LOVE WILLOW! And she's so reminiscent of her namesake!

I must put her in one of my legacies.

I'm so sorry your internship was so hard on you. I'm so glad you made it through. You're getting really close to graduation now, aren't you?

    1. That's right - all I have left now are these two papers (both German studies), an oral presentation on my internship in four weeks and my master thesis, also including an oral presentation. No classes left, no exams. Only these four things. I will have graduated by July :D

At the moment, I'm not completely sure what I want to do next. Either study psychology, or do the 18-months "internship" that is more like a probation period than an internship, because I'll be working as a full-time teacher. I'd prefer the studying, but this year there are better chances to get into the internship than usual, so I probably will do that first, just to have it out of the way.

  2. Good luck with uni and I'm sorry that you had a hard time with your internship. Hopefully, something great will come out of your hard work.

Like her namesake, Willow is awesome. Can't wait to see how she turns out. Other than that, there is a lot of adorableness in this chapter.

I'm still jealous of your Aussie trip. Have a great time and say hello to P Sherman for me XD

    1. Of course I will! A trip to 42 Wallaby Way is already planned. :D

And I'm glad that I'm not the only one to see how adorable all of these children are.

    3. Google says no, but Google surely doesn't know anything. ;) Maybe that place is just very shy and doesn't want to be found by everybody. You have to earn access. Like the Room of Requirements!
