2.0 Arrival in a new life

Hi, everybody – I’m Alf. Oh, right, you knew that already. Duh. Sorry, but I’m still a little confused about where I ended up, and how. Especially HOW. One minute I’m standing in our old living room in good old Sunset Valley, blowing candles and feeling like somebody’s tickling me, and the next minute I’m not.

The next minute I’m standing in front of a really small house, surrounded by nothing but trees. What the hell is going on here? And why do I have to live in a house that looks as unaesthetic as this one does? Sure, it’s not mainstream, which is good. But it’s nowhere near art, either. My brothers and sisters of the avant-garde movement would not approve! I’m just glad I haven’t met one of those yet. Please, PLEASE do something about this house!

Oh no, it’s even worse than I thought it would be! No comfort! Where will I sleep heavily at night? Please don’t tell me I have to use that yellow bed in the back. And where will I plan my ambitious next steps? There is no room for a desk!

Okay, that’s a little better. *breathes in* *breathes out* at least it’s in my favorite color, green. Green everywhere, how beautiful! Now that, my friends, is art. Besides, many vegetables are green, too – and how can you not like vegetables?!

No, I’m still not happy. You forgot something very important, that now ruins the atmosphere in this place! Please take care of that!

Oh, yes, of course. Sorry, I’m a little sloppy today.

There you go.
Perfect! Now the mailbox fits me and the house. Okay, let’s get this life going – why don’t I get a job? Oh, and learn new skills! Maybe I should try and invent something, I seem to be a natural for that. Or wait…no, I don’t want to do that right now. First, I have to explore my new green house <3

Oh, just one last question before I go inside: where is my family?
Uh…I don’t think you want to know right now. And I don’t think I could answer that question to your satisfaction.
What do you mean?
Hey, did you see that your entire house is green? Even the bathroom! Go check!
Aw, man, really?! Awesome, thanks!
Phew, that was close.

Author's notes: Welcome to the official opening of Generation TWO! Our current heir is ALF(ie).
He is a heavy sleeper, vegetarian, eccentric, ambitious and avant-garde (which is where the obsession with art came from. Fun trait!!). His LTW is to be a Scientific Specialist ( = master Science skill, as well as one of the following careers: medicine, business, science).

  1. Whoops! I failed to comment here!

I absolutely love the way you're playing Alfie's Avant-Garde trait. I didn't even know that trait existed! I assume it comes with University? And he's Eccentric too! What a great collection of traits.

    1. Oh, shoot, and I forgot to answer ;) So we're even now... Avantgarde indeed came with University Life, and I first didn't know how to handle it. But now I'm watching him all day, criticizing pictures - hilarious. I'm not sure what else the trait does.

  2. Guess what? I'm all caught up on this blog!!! YAY!

I think Alfie has such a great personality ... the next generation should be loads of fun. I'm sorry to hear that you had such problems and you lost the rest of the family, but at least you managed to save the heir.

Now onto the Grata Musica ...

    1. Well done! :) *hands over cookie*

I still have teen versions of Brian and Lynn, maybe I manage to put them into the game somehow. They could always come and visit him(although they wouldn't really be the same...). I actually haven't played that much ahead, only a day or two, so I'm not keeping anything from you. ;)
